Caring and sharing at Broadway Village
“I was broken when I went in and broken when I came out” These touching words came from one of our veterans after he had played ‘America the beautiful’ during our Veterans breakfast. Other veterans shared their stories and as we thank them for their service, we learn to care and share more with people around us.
While some heal better than others everyone will do well when people care about them and show that they care by sharing with them.
At Broadway village, one way through which we show we care about our veterans was hosting a Veterans Day breakfast on Tuesday November 11th. On this day, which was well attended by our veterans and other residents, we raised a donation which our veterans have decided to give to wounded warriors project.
Wounded warriors project is a tax exempt not for profit which provides free life changing urgent programs for injured veterans. For more information, you can go to; https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org
