October at Orono Woods!
Fall is officially here! We are nestled in our woodsy community enjoying the crisp autumn air, sitting outside in our plentiful seating areas around the building enjoying the magnificent sunrises and sunsets. For quieter moments, we are taking in the sweet sounds of nature from our private balconies.
Our biggest news is that we are so excited to be the recipient of the esteemed MADACS Community of Excellence Award! We are so looking forward to our celebration lunch later in the month!
Resident learners enjoy our monthly Lunch & Learn presentations. This month we welcome Align Health & Wellness as we learn about the benefits of chiropractic services.
Resident foodies will enjoy joining the Lunch Bunch as we head out for our annual trip to the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum to take in the beautiful vistas, do some shopping at their eclectic boutique and enjoy a tasty farm to table lunch at their in-house café Rootstock . The 2nd Friday of every month residents gather to enjoy a community broasted chicken boxed dinner meal together from the Wayzata American Legion. This month the Supper Club ventures out to Winchester & Rye for some upscale pub grub, woodfire pizza and camaraderie. Our monthly potluck is not to be missed – a casual evening of neighborly dining with residents sharing their specialties!
We end the month with our resident music enthusiasts enjoying our monthly birthday party. This month we are showcasing live entertainment by multilingual and multigeneration vocalist.
