September at Orono Woods!
Summer is behind us and we wait for the crisp air so we can open our patio doors and sit out on our balconies to enjoy the fresh air and watch as the landscape colors to start to change.
Resident learners enjoy our monthly Lunch & Learn presentations. This month Podiatrist Dr. Jennifer Flo of Advance Health Institute discusses senior foot care.
Resident foodies enjoyed joining the Lunch Bunch as they headed out to Carlsons Orchard and Bakery on September 22 to enjoy a walk through the orchard and a beautiful fall day, pick up some apples, enjoy a tasty sandwich and soup and try some decadent pies! The 2nd Friday of every month residents gather to enjoy a community broasted chicken boxed dinner meal together from the Wayzata American Legion. This month the Supper Club ventures out on September 30 to T.J. Hooligans for some casual pub grub and camaraderie.
We end the month with our resident music enthusiasts enjoying our September birthday party on the 24th showcasing live entertainment by Duke Zecco playing timeless classic hits, sing-along and early rock and roll.
