Summer fun at Orono Woods!
We kicked off August with Night to Unite with grilling, tasty treats from Lakes Ice Cream, bubbles and audience participation as we enjoyed singing and dancing to the tunes of Fred Montana. Other highlights included visits by our friends with the Orono Police, Shoreline Fire Department, Mayor Bob Tunheim and Council Member Alisa Benson from Orono City Council
Resident learners enjoy our monthly Lunch & Learn presentations. This month Framed Reverie discusses ways senior eye care and how to look and see your best!
Resident foodies will enjoy joining the Lunch Bunch as we head out to Lucky's 13 Pub in Plymouth for artesian pub fare are and the coldest beer in town! The 2nd Friday of every month residents gather to enjoy a community broasted chicken boxed dinner meal together from the Wayzata American Legion. This month the Supper Club ventures out to the Canterbury Park for dinner and live racing!
Our monthly potluck is not to be missed – a casual evening of camaraderie and resident specialties. This month we have a special guest, renowned local entertainment favorite Jeff Dayton!
We end the month with our resident music enthusiasts enjoying our June birthday party showcasing live entertainment by Michael Gruber who is a regular at Chanhassen dinner theater!
