Orono Woods Gets in the Spirit of the Holdiays

We have a vibrant community, and in December saw a lot of fun events. We started the month with a visit from The Satin Dolls, a local dance troop. We had fun “Singing in the Rain” and doing the “Jailhouse Rock”. We welcomed children from The Little Acorns daycare center. They sang holiday songs, helped us with a craft project, and read us a great story. We all felt a little more energized after their visit. Our residents had a fun time taking a tour of holiday lights on our own Lang Nelson bus. Finally, we spread some holiday cheer with some hallway caroling followed by a delicious pot luck dinner.

January looks to be just as fun. We are adding a “Chat and Chowder” event. We will have some hot soup and fellowship in our community room. Plus, we have our regular activities to look forward to:  Our birthday social, potluck, exercise class, movie night, book club, and many card and board games. There’s always something to do here at beautiful Orono Woods.
