Celebrating LNRVM 13 at Blaine Courts
June is Lang Nelson Resident Visit Month (LNRVM)! Every year we dedicate the month of June to celebrating our community, with special events, programs, and extra time to visit residents in their homes, getting to know our residents better. One of our special guests is Lisa DeRosier, our Senior Outreach Worker from ACCAP (Anoka County Community Action Program). Each fall, she helps residents sign up for the Anoka County Energy Assistance Program, and throughout the year, she meets with residents in need of resources. Every June, she is our special guest at our monthly resident meeting. Lisa shares currently available assistance programs in Anoka County, new resources (last year was Metro Micro, an amazing new and affordable ride-share option for residents of Blaine), and brings updated Senior Resource Guides for residents to take home if needed. Lisa is a VIP of our community, and an all-star helper in Anoka Co.
Working with our community outreach connections to make sure our residents have all the help they need as soon as (and often before) they need it is something we take great pride in cultivating all year long. Emergency food assistance, energy assistance, info on affordable car repair, housekeeping help, and so much more is a phone call away, and our award-winning staff can help coordinate with you and Lisa whenever the needs arise.
