A Bit of Norway in Minnesota at Blaine Courts!
Our manager Jake’s mother, Patricia Lundeen, recently came to perform Norwegian music and talk about Norwegian Rosemaling for our residents. She discussed the many styles of rosemaling, the process and supplies used, and even showed off her own traditional dress called a bunad. Patricia closed out the program with compositions by famed Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, and a drawing for a rosemaling Christmas ornament – our resident/Activities Coordinator Patt took home the prize!
