Meet Emerald Pointe's Resident Spotlight for March

Emerald Pointe introduces David C. as our resident spotlight for March. David along with his mother Rose each rented an apartment with us back in 2015.

I have never met someone like David, always a smile and a good morning with such a caring manner. David is the youngest of three and has two older sisters.  During our interview, I discovered David’s talent in knot tying!  The first thing I asked him was, “Did you learn that craft from your mother since she was so involved in Wycinanki” (pronounced Vee-chee-nonkee which is the Polish word for ‘paper-cut design’). He replied “No, but I have loved doing knot tying since 2000.” So as you can see, the Chesin’s have a lot of craft talent.

How David and his mother came to Emerald Pointe.

David’s sister did a google search on apartments between New Hope and St. Louis Park so they could be close to their father who was in a nursing home. They picked Emerald Pointe because of the convenient location between where his sisters live and where his father was receiving care. David said “We are not downtown but not out in the boondocks”. David enjoys playing bingo, one of our offered activities, every other Friday night and getting the chance to socialize with the other residents. David loves getting the chance to sit downstairs to visit with our welcoming committee (a dedicated crew that comes down to enjoy conversation and a good cup of coffee.)
