September tries its best to have us forget Summer!
September is known for the start of the autumn season, leaves start to turn, days get shorter and cool weather starts. September is also known for students return to school, start of Football season, fairs and festivals. September is significant for the observance of Labor Day, holiday honoring workers. It’s the start of Hispanic Heritage Month and other notable holidays beyond these, September hosts various awareness programs like Childhood Cancer Awareness, Healthy Aging, National Self-Care and much more.

The market will be held on September 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Coon Rapids Ice Center Parking Lot.
This event will take place on September 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park.
- Rhythm of the Rapids - Anoka-Ramsey Community College Coon Rapids Campus Foundation hosts a concert fundraiser featuring live music, food trucks, and more, on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 5 PM at the Riverview Plaza on the banks of the Mississippi River. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Back here at Summit Oaks we have Homeland Health FLU & COVID Vaccination Clinic Monday, September 22nd from 2:15pm to 3:15 pm. They are offering the standard flu vaccine, senior Dose (65+), and COVID-19 vaccine. We also have 2 exciting bus trips on Tuesday, September 16th Shoreview Farmers Market and on Wednesday, September 24th Redstone American Grill.
