Creekside Gables Residents continue to amaze!
November of 2013 Creekside Gables residents (family) decided it was time open their hearts and give back to the community they call home. Open their hearts they did.
It started small, ha ha. Residents hand sewed and stuffed over 160 pillows that were donated to Gillette Children’s Hospital in Saint Paul. The pillows were given to and used by children after they had surgery. The kindness grew, in early 2014 the residents decided they really loved helping and serving others so they chose to volunteer at “Feed My Starving Children”. Once a month Lang Nelson’s Senior Transportation sends a bus to Creekside Gables to transport the group to a warehouse in Coon Rapids where the residents and many others hand fill bags and boxes of food that will feed starving children throughout the world. Since the Creekside Volunteer Team started in 2014 they have packed thousands of pounds of food that has put food in the mouths of countless starving children worldwide.
