Calibre Chase Supports NEAR Food Shelf During March’s “Fill the Shelves” Campaign
For 50 years, the NEAR Food Shelf has been a vital resource for families in the Crystal area, offering support, stability, and nourishment to neighbors in need. Each March, Minnesota comes together for Fill the Shelves, a statewide effort to strengthen food banks and ensure they can continue serving their communities.
This year, the need is especially great. With rising demand and more families seeking assistance, NEAR is working harder than ever—and the residents of Calibre Chase are stepping up in a big way.
Throughout the month of March, our community is fundraising for NEAR by selling shamrocks to residents, friends, and family which we are displaying. It’s a simple gesture with a meaningful impact, and it reflects the generous spirit that defines our 55+ active community.
There are many ways to support this important cause:
- Volunteer your time at NEAR or another local food shelf
- Donate non‑perishable food items
- Contribute financially to help keep shelves stocked year‑round
