Pumpkin Decorating, Hot Cider and Voting make for an exciting Fall!
Autumn Woods held our 2nd Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest! All were invited to carve, paint or decorate however they liked. Our residents are so creative and love showing their skills. We had 4 amazing entries and 4 wonderful winners! While on display, we enjoyed hot apple cider & hot chocolate while discussing our choices for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 1st place went to the pumpkin disguised as a llama! On Halloween, our resident Trick-or-Treaters were able to go door to door and knock on those that had a special pumpkin, letting them know there was candy on the other side!
Fall also brings an important time of year… elections! In October we hosted a few Meet & Greet sessions with City Council nominees. These sessions provide our residents a chance to really get to know the candidates, ask the questions they need answers to and find out where they stand on different topics. We are so grateful to be able to offer these kinds of intimate meetings to our residents. On November 2nd, it was time to cast the vote! Autumn Woods has been a local Polling Place for the neighborhood for many years. Volunteers and Residents work from sun up to sun down in our lobby making sure each voter gets their ballot counted (and much more). Residents love the fact that their voting place is so convenient. Who wouldn’t want the option to vote in their pajamas?!
