Autumn Woods Enjoys the Stillwater Trolley Tour

If you haven’t ever been on a Historic Trolley Tour of Stillwater, you are missing out on a wonderful look at not only Stillwater’s history, but the history of the great state of Minnesota. The weather was perfect, and so was the narrator of our tour, who was full of knowledge about the history and people of Stillwater, and who also happens to be one of the owners of the Stillwater Trolley Co. We finished off the morning with lunch at the Oasis Café just south of downtown Stillwater on Main Street (Hwy 95). The quantity of white pine logging that Stillwater did, is staggering. And even more staggering is the amount of money that changed hands in this little town as a result. It has seen seasons of boom and bust, fires and floods, and but now ranks as Runner-Up for “Best Small Town in the Midwest” by USA Today Travel.
