The Arbors First Oktoberfest was the Wurst Party Ever!

Tom, one of our residents, suggested we try to pull off an Oktoberfest event.  So, we did!  We decided that it would be fun to let our residents participate by bringing their favorite German recipe.  Our event turned into a potluck that did not disappoint.  One of the favorite dishes was a Sauerbraten.  However, the Apfel Strudel was also a huge hit!  We had so much fun playing games, trying ourselves at German trivia, and learning about some of the culture.

 Another one of our residents, Kay, brought in a Schnapps Box, Steins, a beautiful authentic Oktoberfest dress, some table linens, posters, maps, tour brochures, a toothpick holder, and so much more!  We were so lucky to have so many treasures to look at during our celebration.  It was fun to learn about her travels and her German collection.

We look forward to making this an annual event, as it was a great time for all.
