Stepping Up for Our Community: The Anthony James Shoe Drive

At the Anthony James Senior Community, we are honored to partner with Good in the ’Hood, an organization whose mission centers on intentional kindness, community well‑being, and practical support for those experiencing hardship. Their work reaches far beyond food programs, they provide essential resources, volunteer opportunities, youth initiatives, and wellness services that impact more than 10,000 individuals each month. This season, our partnership shines through our Shoe Drive, running from January 15 through March 15, supporting Good in the Hood’s footwear program that supplies new and gently used shoes to neighbors who need them most. I’m thrilled to share that, thanks to early generosity, we have already collected 47 pairs of shoes, each one helping someone take a meaningful step toward comfort and stability. From sneakers that lost their kick to boots ready for a second life, every contribution matters.
