Community Partnerships Sends More Than Just "Greetings" to Residents at the Crossings at Brookwood!
The Brooklyn Center Lion’s Club hand-made over 200 greeting cards and donated them to the residents at The Crossings at Brookwood! This service project will benefit our valued senior residents by providing beautiful hand-made greeting cards for all occasions. Now residents can send a free and creative greeting card to their family, neighbors and friends. We all know how important our mail is and the feeling you get inside when finding a special card, sent from a friend, with a personalized note in your mail box or by your door. It puts a smile on your face and brightens your day! You also feel connected to others, which is so critical these past 8 months going through the social distancing changes the Coronavirus has created. The greetings include: birthday wishes, get well soon, sympathy, thinking of you and Christmas wishes. Some are even blank so residents can write their own personalized note. The resident of The Crossings at Brookwood would like to extend a big “Thank You” to our friends and partners at the Brooklyn Center Lion’s Club!

The Brooklyn Center Lioness were organized jointly by the Brooklyn Center Lions Club and the Brooklyn Park Lioness Club in 1979. Lioness are women who have decided to give something back to their communities. Membership is by invitation and open to all over 18 years of age. We have one Social Dinner meeting and one Business meeting each month. We are part of the world’s largest service club organization in the world, our purpose is to carry out service programs and activities and to unite members in friendship and mutual understanding. We work hard and have a lot of fun doing our projects.
