Our residents are the “heart” of our community at Creekside Gables
When the COVID-19 stay-at-home rules began, everything turned upside down and just stopped. Our Team had to discover creative ways to keep our residents connected and engaged during the pandemic. We started “Stay-At-Home Bingo!” Residents received a bingo card in their newsletter and Bingo numbers were posted daily in our community room. Prizes were awarded for each bingo winner and delivered to their door! This gave our residents something to look forward to and kept them moving as they had to come to the community room to see the number pull for that day in anticipation of getting the number they needed to win a prize.
Also, as you know ...food is something that always brings everyone together. :) We have been delivering our Second Harvest & Good in The Hood food programs to those that need that extra little support. We have also continued our Chat & Chowder lunches but instead of gathering together we deliver right to their door. This month it was Lasagna, bread stick, salad, cookie and a soda. Residents were excited that they could still get a nice hot lunch delivered to their door by staff.
