River Oaks Hosts Birthday Tea with the Queen
We may not all make it to 96 years of age, but there’s no reason not to celebrate longevity living the Lang Nelson Experience. Residents of River Oaks of Anoka celebrated with a tea party on April 21, 2022 in honor of her majesty, Queen Elizabeth’s 96th birthday. Fresh made cranberry scones accompanied a variety of teas. When asked if they enjoyed tea, most of the residents said it was a rare occasion when they drank tea, and a few said that they much preferred to drink their coffee. Chef Mark prepared the scones (which made the entire community smell like a bakery) and Lonnie our Life Enrichment Director was on hand to explain the process of steeping tea and assisting residents with their tea choices.
