Bow Wow Bonanza at The Legacy of St. Anthony!

Labradors and poodles and pugs, oh my! This indeed does sound like another set of words that you are familiar with but it’s more descriptive of a huge, fun community event that The Legacy of St. Anthony hosted on Saturday, May 30, from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. The event was named the Bow Wow Bonanza! The event was for both humans and their faithful canine companions. The day started with performances from the Animal Inn Flyball Team which is the oldest established flyball team in NAFA, North America Flyball Association. They have many regional championships as well as many National championships to their credit including the 2014 Winners of the USA and Canada championships. They were sponsored by Chuck and Don’s Pet Food Outlet stores. They have performed for the MN Timberwolves and the MN Lynx for the halftime show. These dogs gave amazing performances!

We would like to thank Chuck & Don’s Pet Food Outlet for being an invaluable resource of ideas. But that wasn’t all. The Legacy parking lot also hosted many area vendors of dog or pet interests. Ark Pet Hospital, Buster’s Restaurant, Dig It Dog Grooming, Embellish by Jackie, Trupanion Medical Insurance, Happy Tails Pet Camp, Chiropractic for Everybody, Minneapolis Police Canine Foundation, NorthStar Great Pyrenees Rescue of MN, Osman Shriners, Honey Bear Creations, Bella Bites, and the Ida Marie Dining Service provided useful information and tasty treats for both people and pets. We are going to strive to make this an annual event so look for it next spring as well. Yes, the community of the Legacy and the community of St. Anthony and its surrounding areas had a great afternoon. So in the words of our participants we’d like to wish you a good day and very happy,” woof, woof!”
