Trying Something New and Finding New Interests at the Arbors!

It’s never too late to learn.  Isn’t that the truth?  We can try new things and maybe learn something along the way, even something about ourselves.  We recently had a visit from Nina, an artist from Paint the Town Painting. https://paintthetown.com/  She brought everything we needed to paint our very own canvas.  She instructed us along the way, but the best part was that there was so much room to implement our own creativity!  She did tell us early on in the class that all of our pictures would be very different in the end even though we were all painting the same thing, a vase of flowers.  WOW!  Was she right!  The process was so very fun, and the final reveal was amazing! We had so much fun that we are already looking forward to having Nina back for another lesson.

Studies have shown that engaging our bodies and minds in activities that are new to us is so good for our overall health.  We like to offer new activities to our residents with the preface that we do not need to be an expert or have any experience, just join us and try something new.  Who knows, maybe you’ll have a really good time.
