Night to Unite at the Arbors

Every year, on the first Tuesday in August, an event called Night to Unite is celebrated.  The event originally called National Night Out, started in 1984 in a suburb of Philadelphia.  It has become a national celebration and every year, we, here at The Arbors of White Bear Lake, celebrate it also.

It promotes community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.  It enhances relationships within the community and it brings people together. Many celebrate with BBQ’s and block parties.  We celebrate ours at noon and we try new things each year.  In the past, we have served taco’s, sloppy joes, burgers, brats and hot dogs, but this year we enjoyed a grand potluck!  All of our resident’s brought down their best dish and so we could enjoy a meal together with some special guests. The White Bear Lake City Officials, Police, EMT’s, Fire Fighters and Family were invited We had them stop by for conversation and food, and even a quick outdoor game of bags or ladder ball. Following our Potluck, we have Patrick Allen coming to perform some live music for us.  He is amazing and if the weather cooperates, we may have him set up outside for a concert in our courtyard.

More opportunities to have fun in August include a few new restaurants to try, like Clive’s Roadhouse and The Little Venetian, there will be a trip to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum on August 18, and a movie outing on August 30! And stay tuned for even more in September!

Would you like to join us in celebrating?  Just give us a call, we would love to have you! Call us today to schedule a tour and see what our community has to offer!
