Twin Lake North, We Will Give Again and Again!

Winston Churchill said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Part of the Lang Nelson mission is to enhance the quality of lives of our residents physically, socially, and spiritually. Not only can giving make someone else’s life better, but it can enhance your life as well and this holiday season is the time to make that happen!

We are currently collecting food and other items for the NEAR Food Shelf and will be collecting through the end of November. Anyone who brings in non-perishable items by November 20th will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win $100 rent credit! Giving doesn’t always mean giving money or food. NEAR is also in great need of volunteers at this time. Visit their website to learn more about donating or volunteering:

We are also excited to announce the we have a variety of opportunities for giving beginning in December. Join us on the Lang Nelson bus to volunteer in December. Additionally, we are an official Toys for Toys donation location. Visit to donate a toy virtually, or drop a new, unopened toy off in the box at the TLN office before December 14th. Lastly, if you enjoy knitting or crocheting or have the ability to pick up some extra hats and mittens while you’re out doing holiday shopping, we will have a tree in the clubhouse to collect for the hat and mitten drive. If you have any questions about these many ways to give, please call Erin (763)533-1168.

Please note that photographs were taken last year prior to COVID. TLN remains a safe community during this pandemic by following CDC guidelines.

We are excited for these opportunities and hope that you are too. Any type or amount of giving can change your life and others and we could certainly use some positive change in these final weeks of 2020. We’ll hear from you soon!
