Virtual Fun at The Arbors

Our residents look forward to all of the food, fun and games that we offer not only during the holiday season, but all through the year.  While we can’t celebrate Christmas in the usual way this year, we can still bring smiles and laughter to our residents through virtual activities, contests and games. We will not let Covid19 take from our holiday joy here at The Arbors of White Bear Lake!

Residents Mary W. and Irene V. really stepped up to give our residents a huge dose of Christmas game fun! Each week in December, they offered four different holiday-themed virtual activities, all with prizes for the winners.  There was something for everyone including: scavenger hunt, guess how many objects, word games, riddles, naming Christmas songs and foods, and so much more! And of course, what would Christmas be without a gift exchange? On Christmas Eve, Mary and Irene made the holiday even more fun by delivering gifts to participating residents. We knew our Arbors neighbors were missing the abundance of festive foods and sweet treats that December usually brings. To bring a dose of Christmas joy to all, staff delivered a personal holiday basket to each resident, filled with sweet and savory goodies. 

Our commitment to keeping our residents happy and engaged every day will continue, whether in person or virtually. We will offer Brain Games, Boggle, Hallway Hangouts and other resident favorites, while mixing in some new activities, such as:  Virtual Story Tellers, where you help write a silly story from the comfort of your own home; and a new, innovative way to play Bingo from home!  Watch for more virtual offerings, and get ready for more fun here at The Arbors!
