Lang Nelson Associates is pleased to inform you that Homeland Health Specialists, Inc., will be providing Flu Vaccination Clinics within your community. The day, date, and time that the Homeland Team will be at your community will be announced in August. You may also contact your community Site Manager or Resident Services Director for this information.

Homeland Health Specialists, Inc. is Medicare certified and will bill Medicare or your Health Plan. For specific insurance or billing questions, feel free to contact Homeland Health @ 763-746-8060; and please identify that you are a resident of a Lang Nelson Community.

The single best way to prevent seasonal flu is to be vaccinated each year. Good health habits can and will help stop germs, and the spread of illness. And staying as healthy as possible helps us outweigh the  daily challenges we face.

Our Root Beer Float Event was a success with several residents commenting that they had not enjoyed a root beer float since they were a kid.  All smiles here at Anthony James!

Creekside Gables is located in the beautiful Village Creek redeveloped area of Brooklyn Park, Creekside is also an Independent Living Senior Community. Creekside is much more than just a place to live, it’s all about the people that live here and the fun that takes place on site. The residents at Creekside tried their hands at a craft show last May. The event was fantastic. The residents displayed all their crafts along with some outside venders and their wares. Everyone did very well and the venders loved how Creekside looked and how welcoming our residents were. At the end of the craft show we were asked to have another one this year and the vendors want to come back as well. I have added a couple of the pictures of the crafts that were displayed by the residents and vendors.

Our next craft show will be held on September 8^th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Mike E. has been promoted to Scheduling Supervisor for Senior Transportation!

Mike was born in Iowa in the 1950s and moved shortly thereafter to Alexandria, Minnesota which he now proudly calls his home town.  After high school he joined the Navy and called Brunswick, Maine his home port for 4 years.  It was in Brunswick that he met his wife (Pat). The two of them moved back to Minnesota to go to school and start their careers.  Mike studied Computer Science while his better half was in Nursing.

Mike worked for Dain Bosworth (Stock Brokerage) in their Information Technology area for 25 years.  He started out in 1984 as 1 of 4 computer programmers.   He ended up in 2009 transferring that computer system off to an outsourced firm in India.  During his time at Dain, he worked his way up the ladder to Senior Manager/Vice President of Applications Support, where at one time he was responsible for over 75 computer professionals.

Mike and his wife Pat live in Champlin, MN, and have two grown children.  Mike is also a Grandpa to two grandchildren and cannot seem to ever spend enough time with them!

Mike started driving for Lang Nelson in the summer of 2009 and has been recognized daily for his contribution to his team and our residents.  He really enjoys the residents that he serves and delivers an “above and beyond “experience every day.  Mike was promoted to Scheduling Manager earlier this year.  He is a talented and valuable part of our team of drivers and we thank him for his service!

On behalf of both Lang Nelson and Autumn Woods,

That’s right, Lang Nelson is excited to announce that we have officially named our new St. Anthony AL community.  The Assisted Living community to join the current Autumn Woods campus will be named The Legacy of St. Anthony.  We believe this names fits well with the history of St. Anthony and will allow all to leave their mark in this historically rich community.

THC announces exciting additions to our staff!

Deb Stenger is joining us as the new RN Supervisor at the Pines.  Deb comes to THC with 19 years of leadership experience including 5 years in Assisted Living.

Sarah Collins and Gloria Walker are also RN’s and will be fulfilling the important role of RN Float which supports and supplements the nursing staff as needed.

Additions to our LPN staff are Jane Pautsch at the Heathers and Loria Ducharme at Earle Brown Terrace.

Joining our home office staff is Sue Seely. Sue’s role as an Administrative HR Assistant is giving us the support we need in the office and also for the sites to help us track our training, performance management, and staffing back up.
