Theme Dinners at the Heathers are a big hit!
Together, Ida Marie and the Heathers Manor have many Theme Dinners. Some of the resident’s favorites are St. Patrick’s Day, with an Irish Day theme and Irish food of Bangers and Mash and all the Irish trimmings to go with it. Everyone wore green and played Blarney Bingo. There was shamrock shakes for snack and then “Curtis and Loretta” entertained us who performed their “Ode to Ireland” show. Then after dinner the residents watched “The Irish Tenors at Ellis Island”.
We also had baseball fever in March, residents and family that attended wore Twins apparel and listed to author Bob Showers tell us about the book he wrote, ”Twins at the Met”. Bob shared stories of Twins History and players of then and now. Many had stories of Harmon Killebrew. The finishes with a snack of large pretzels with cheese, after a ball park dinner they watched “The Twins Silver Anniversary Then and Now”.
