Earle Brown Terrace now has it’s own EBT college.  There is an old and true statement that if you don’t use it you lose it.  At EBT residents are being given plenty of opportunities to use their intellect and ability to learn new things.  They have weekly mind exercises in the form of classes that challenge the brain.   So far we have had a semester of language (German), a semester of history (Ancient Egyptian), a semester of religion (Ancient Canaanite religions), and now the class is learning basic musical skills by playing organ and keyboards.  The possibilities are limitless for learning new things and sharpening the mind.   According to recent University studies, musical skills are especially helpful in combating depression, and helping maintain memory skills in seniors.  These classes are very popular at Earle Brown Terrace and generate a lot of discussion after class as well.  Our activity director/instructor/chaplain has a Master of Divinity Degree, and majored in language and music as an undergrad.  He’s taught language (Latin, German) on a high school level, and served as a music instructor at Schmitt Music teaching about 100 seniors every week the basic keyboard skills while he was there. Our residents are eager to keep their minds as sharp as possible and to widen their horizons with learning new things.

Earle Brown Terrace is both independent and assisted living located in the historic Earle Brown Farm complex.  We call our style of living “catered living” because there is a wide range of choices here.

Earle Brown Terrace is located at 6100 Summit Drive N., Brooklyn Center, 55430.
Contact us at 763-560-6829 for more information about our residence and how to share this special place with someone important to you.
