• Understand what Allen Cognitive Levels are as well as more basic stages of dementia (early, middle, late)
• State general considerations for choosing appropriate functional activities to engage residents
• Identify appropriate sensory stimulation activities based on congnitive level
• Define common sensory considerations that may adversely affect a resident
• Identify activities that will promote better sleep/wake cycles promote sensory organization for residents with dementia
